Re: oil leak...

Papa,

If you're in need of oil give Nissan Roadside Assist a call and get them to bring it to you. Although might want to negotiate the price of it first.

Re: oil leak...

I had an oil leak took it to Nissan jarvin new cars Burwood, they asked me who did the 10000 service Arhh Midas ,hmm they said they put the wrong sump plug washer on and it was leaking from the sump plug,ah well i said change the oil and washer $170. So i have now tried Ultra Tune ,they put in 4 lit of oil instead of 8 and Midas wrong sump plug washer , a bunch of cowboys. I think i will use Nissan even though they put a small scratch on the right rear wheel (which they denied).

Re: oil leak

hi all,i am pretty sure my last input did not get through.so i will try again,it might save someone time.i am gromit2011,x2261,darwin.i have tsdci,m9r,2008 built.so far i have had most problems others have had.now a new one for me.leak near sump plug,or so i thought, taking the easy way out.well,it was not.what i found after 2 repair attempts was that the 4 bolt holes in corner near sump plug had not been drilled and tapped deep enough.i shortened bolts by 5 mil.no more leaks.this oil leak must have existed since very early on.no warranty repair even though i was told after cruise control repair oil was changed for some obscure reason,i found oil in the aircleaner[which was not there before] .and oil was dripping out of rear of belly cover.then the whole thing explained itself.the oil absorb pad in centre of cover will hide oil leak for a few month. i fixed leak, bought nissan syn c3 and so far no oil in aircleaner or in belly cover.i have now covered close to 20000 km,14000 since cruise control repair, which by the way took 4 days to nut out .if my last attempt did get out i apologise for repeating myself.regards gromit2011.

Re:

That was an effort just reading your post.
I think just a washer on those 4 bolts would have saved the time and effort in drilling and re tapping the screw holes.
