Re: Is your Aircond cool enough?

Back to the thread of whether the aircond is cool enough - on the T31 yesterday I drove for six hours with the outside temp varying between 43 and 41C.

I had the system on recirc and a couple of notches below 25 and was cool as. I got out of the vehicle fresh as and not tired.

Friend of mine who followed an hour later, in a Falcon ute said he had to open the windows as his system could not cope and his arms were baking.

It can pretty hot in the WA Eastern Goldfields.

Re: Is your Aircond cool enough?

Has anyone tried replacing the original blower motor with a motor from a Mitsu Pajero? I heard it will improve the A/C...

Re: Is your Aircond cool enough?

Hi guys, if you want a record for the dash thermometer, I rekon I got mine went to 60 then did not show any further, it just started flashing the --- at me. I have now had that for both the hotest and the coldest extremes for the car so yeah I guess the temp range is somewhere near 55 odd degrees.
I must admit though the higest displayed temp was on a recent 46 degree day in Melb and my exie is as black as satans armpit with a sunroof and I was not able to locate a parking spot in the shade.

Re:

Glad I have read this, I was thinking about complaining to the dealer about my aircon - compared to my previous cars it is poor. Even with the rubbish summer we had when I got my lovely new X'ey I wondered if there was even any gas in the system it could take so long to cool the car.

Does anyone have anymore recent updates on this?

Re: Is your Aircond cool enough?

My X-Trail aircon can barely cope with a Tasmanian summer, so no way would it be satisfactory in my previous home state of WA.
