Re: Interior & Key Ignition Light

Hey Jalal

Photo as requested

Image

This is running on a 9v batt. This is one of the 60mm rings I have. Depth of PCB is 2mm + 2/3mm for LEDs. you could simply double sided tape it to the cover. Overall size is perfect but so bright, wearing shorts you would get a sunburnt right knee emoticon

Cheers Les

Nice use of leds, but I think I only need like 4 of those little buggers to make it plenty bright to see where to put the key.

Re:

I've noticed that when I open the doors or lock/unlock the car only my drivers map light works - all switches are set to door. When I manually press the passenger map light sometimes it works and other times it doesn't.

Does anyone know what could cause this? The only electrical mods that I've done is adding the glovebox light which is per the DIY (taking power from the cigi lighter) & and adding a double din, although this is using ISO connectors.

This issue has been happening for a while, just keep forgetting to post. Work is very quiet at the moment, so I thought I would catch up on some light reading and thought that I would finally post

Re: Interior & Key Ignition Light

First would be to check the globe to make sure it is seated into the holder correctlt in the passenger's map light

Re: Interior & Key Ignition Light

Nice light ring. Keep the windows up at night or they might think that you are trying to laser light the aircraft.

I have fitted a single 5mm LED to the shroud surround to point down to the ignition switch. Wired into the interior lights so it operates when the interior lights come on and go off. Looking at the same thing for the side mirror switch; always fumbling around in the dark when wanting to adjust mirrors, but will need to wire this into the headlight circuit.

Cheers.

Re:

Hi guys,

It's been a while since I've been back here, but I need help. I've done a search and didn't find anything, but I will also admit I haven't read all the 18 pages of this topic.

I was replacing the boot light, with a led light pad and while I was puting it in something touched and produced a spark. Then when I tested the light it works in the on position and turns off, but wont turn on in the boot open position. I have taken out the led's and put the globe back in and it still wont work. I did some detective work and the earth wire to the light wasn't earthing so I, conected a earth wire to this, thinking it would help. The light now turns on in the boot open position, but wont turn off. After reading some other posts it seems there is a timer relay to turn the power off, seems I have shorted this out for the boot light. The other lights turn off as normal.

Where do I find the boot light timer relay to replace it and is it an item I can get from the local auto parts store or do I have to get it from Nissan?

cheers,

Adam
