Electric Fans

Hi All,I am starting to feel a bit of vibration front of car very minor one specially if on idle,I did have a look and it is coming from electric fan driver side. I suspect the bearing will be on it way out. Is the bearing can be change? Or do I have it replace it . How much? Anyone have similar problem?

Cheers

Re: Electric Fans

The bearing can be changed but you may have to pull it out and run around town trying to find a replacement, from CBC or similar outlet. I'd hate to think what Nissan would want for one, if they sell it.
Thermo fans are pretty cheap to buy, might save you the frustration of trying to change the bearing.
Try lubing up the bearing first and see how that goes.

Re: Electric Fans

I had a similiar problem with the drivers side radiator fan, slight wobble and noise. Used some magic WD40 and it went away. Is there nothing it can't do !!

Re: Electric Fans

Thanks for all replies, I managed to replaced the driver side fan from a wrecking yard. The bearing is not replaceable as it is sealed, but I think if you persevere on you probably can, just worry of seizing up the bearing and boil the engine, now back to normal.

Cheers
