Loss of engine power when lights turned on

2010 Nissan Xtrail st-L. Right rear LED tail light intermittently not working. Sometimes flashes and sometimes does not turn on at all. Sometimes when the tail light flashes, the rear middle brake light will illuminate even without pressing the break. Removed and tested in another Xtrail and the lights unit does work in the other Xtrail. When selecting cruise control on/off, cruise control “set” light flashes and does not allow me to set the cruise control. Whilst driving, if I turn on the headlights I lose all drive power and need to take my foot off the accelerator and press the accelerator again to regain drive power.
Thanks

There is a lot of things going on there.
First thing would be to make sure your battery connections are all tight and clean.

Re:

Thanks Kev. That was our first check. We’ve got a 2011 Xtrail as well. Swapped out the whole light unit, brake switch, cruise control switch, relays. Still no joy.

Thanks for letting us know Leo.

In closing, could you let us know exactly which computer you had replaced ?
I'm guessing it was the BCM (Body Control Module)

The one that’s under the bonnet under the black tubing for the air intake. Passenger side of vehicle.

That is the Integrated Power Distribution Module in the Engine compartment (IPDM)/ER incase any else needs to reference it.
