T30 XTrail tailgate locking.

Hell from Jimbr.
I have recently purchased this 07 .T30 XTrail. The central locking on the tailgate is not working all four doors are ok. There is no power getting to the actuator . I removed the actuator and bench tested it and it works as it should . There is no power to the connector. I would have thought all the door locking circuits would operate from the one fuse. I checked what fuses I could reach in the fuse board and they are ok. All the under bonnet fuses are ok.
Does anyone know which fuse is for the tail gate,if it is not the same as the doors?
Where is the fuse located. The under dash fuses are hard for me an old codger to get to,it does not look like the fuse holder hinges forward to a more comfortable position .I did try to hinge it forward but it appears to be fixed.
Kind Regards.Jimbr.

Re: T30 XTrail tailgate locking.

You will probably find it is a broken wire in the harness which goes through the rubber tube near the top hinge of the tailgate. Other members have found this issue.
Check the wiring and the earth connection too.

Re: Tailgate locking

Hello Revhead kev.
Thank you for your reply, you were exactly right. There were two broken wires in the left hand Tailgate wiring loom. I have repaired these and now have a fully working remote locking tailgate.
Thank you so much for your help.
Kind Regards Jimbr.
