Idle relearn

I've tried to find the actual T31 idle relearn process in this forum and have searched many sites including the DIY section. I can find many references to idle relearn but not the actual process. My eyes may not be as good as they should be or I am just not asking the right question.
At idle my engine revs fluctuate slightly from approx 700 - 850 revs. The tacho needle bounces every second or so. No fluctuations or "hesitancy" at driving speeds.

Can some one point me in the right direction...........Thanks

cheers

Re: Idle relearn

Go look here Dave

T31 ECU Reset

For the T31, the ecu reset automatically does the idle air/fuel relearn at startup.
Different to the T30 where there are different procedures for ecu reset and idle relearn.

Re: Idle relearn

Thanks Kev.
Hopefully now I won't have to use the process. My wife and I have just come back from a drive into the city. When I arrived home I stopped the car and kept an eye on the tacho. It remained as steady as a rock at 750rpm. I kept the engine on idle for some 5 minutes and all was good. So I'm not sure why the revs were fluctuating on idle for the past few days...perhaps the long return drive helped to "clean" something out or whatever.
Anyway, I have bookmarked the link you sent me just in case.

Thanks again.

Re:

Hi

My T30 was doing a similar thing but also reving quite High..
I replaced the 1st O2 Sensor and while the revs are still high they stopped pulsing.
From what I understand on O2 Sensors is they eventually fail but also get dirty and the vent holes can get blocked - a good run can correct this but eventually they will need replacing.
