T32 light help

Recently purchased a 2017 ST-L and looking at options to mount a lightbat/spotlights on the roof, the front grille or maybe both eventually. Not sure on size or if grille mounting is even a smart option

Re: T32 light help

In the past I've used a universal licence-plate mounted light bar...available from most auto shops, and eBay. (Checkout eBay and you'll see photos of the setup.) Simply unscrew your licence-plate, mount the bar and re-fit your plate. Add the lights, wire it all up and bingo! You may, however, need to brace the lights to stop them moving/flickering whilst driving. Kits to do this are also available at most car accessory joints.
BTW. It's against the rego laws of all States to mount driving lights on your roof. I know a lot of people do it, but doing it doesn't make it legal.

But, if you have a separate switch for them and don't control them from the highbeam then they are considered "work lights" and are perfectly legal to mount anywhere.

Yep. That explains why the oncoming guy's high beam dip waaaay before his 'illegal' roof mounted lights. The bugga has to wake up, dip his high beam, and then find the illegal switch to turn off his work lights. Great system.
