Yes the clips are going but I've also noticed looking back at the rear door seal it doesn't quite feel the gap as well as it should and imagine this would affect road noise as well as water resistance? Will give Clark rubber a go and will look up that part number!nondisclosed_email@example.com (Armedbandit)Mon, 31 Dec 2018 14:01:56 +0000 Re: Door trim replacementhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096403,from=rss#post2096403https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096403,from=rss#post2096403My question is ...what is "wrong" with your rubber strip. If is still pliable and functional and perhaps only needs a clean and perhaps a rubber lubricant, then it is only the clips that need attention if they are worn etc. If the rubber has deteriorated to the extent that replacement is necessary then OK. Your "signature" does not indicate where you are from but if in Oz then Clark Rubber may have something that suits for a replacement. Just remove the trim and take it to a store and compare it with their large range of rubber products etc. Cheers nondisclosed_email@example.com (dlpeek)Sat, 29 Dec 2018 15:49:32 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096402,from=rss#post2096402https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096402,from=rss#post2096402yea its just the clips, i assume from your pict that the clip broken then the seal is out of position with the rubber still good condition, seems no torn part but if you want to deal with rubber taht has lost its elasticity i think what youre after is rubber detailing products. 6 years lifetime perhas not much elasticity or contact will return. consider to replace with new one for USD 34 - 36. perhaps will satisfy your detail and one more thing, its Asep not Aaron, its Indonesian name. all is good mate.nondisclosed_email@example.com (SVPATA)Sat, 29 Dec 2018 13:39:05 +0000 Re: Door trim replacementhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096400,from=rss#post2096400https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2096400,from=rss#post2096400Hi Aaron Thank you very much for the reply! Is this only for the clips? I was hoping I could replace the whole rubber strip.. I've noticed the door trim on my 2012 xtrail is starting to pull away from the door and is not quite filling the gap anymore, having looked into sourcing these from Nissan I was shocked at the prices they were charging. I have attached a photo of the trim of the driver's door for reference. Anyone had any luck sourcing these aftermarket or a good way of bringing them back to life?
