Reversing Camera Trigger Wire, 2011 T31 petrol?

I'd did a search for this but couldn't find the answer and was wondering if anyone could help.

I'm looking for a convenient wire/wires to wire in a reversing camera to a reverse light trigger on 2011 T31 petrol. I'm looking for something on the back of the boot lid and not down at the reverse light.

Something on the back of the boot lid would be a lot more convenient than running a wire up from the reverse light.

I dont have a tow bar, yet.

Thanks emoticon

Unfortunately, no harness runs in the rear door which carries a reversing signal as the reversing lights are in the rear bumper.
You will have to drop a wire down the corner panel to pick up the harness in the left corner of the boot.

Ah brilliant thanks so much for your reply. Saves me a lot of time testing or hunting for a wiring diagram.

Do you know how to get into that left corner panel? Do you drop it down from the rubber grommet in the top left hand corner of the boot?
Thanks

Yes. The rubber tube holds wires for the rear mounted stop lamp and can be used to get a wire from the rear door into the roof/left-side panel of the body. From there, removing the interior trim panels on the left side should help you run the wire down to where the main loom is with the reversing wires in it.
There will be a 6-pin flat connector with 2 pins not connected, 2 black wires (ground) and 2 green wires (reversing lights)

Ah ok thanks!
I pulled the jack and it's holder out and found the reverse light wire in there. Only finished today and got everything but the phone answer button working.

I'm also looking to hook into this reversing light wire for a camera. I have seen a couple of references like yours, to it being under the jack holder, but I cannot see how to remove the jack holder without dismantling quite a bit of luggage area lining. Am I missing something? emoticon
