posticon Hello From Canada!

Hello everyone!

Bought my 2006 Bona Vista X-Trail last year with 117,000 km's as a daily driver. My first Nissan was a 2015 Xterra I bought new and still own, it's a pretty ridiculous rig. I would post a link but I'm not sure if that is in violation of rules or not. It's got a full Titan Swap and 315/75R16 tires among other mods. If it's ok to post a link I will in a reply or something.

Anyway I've done a couple minor things so far to the X-Trail to restore it to normal condition. I changed the blower motor which wasn't that bad except the motor somehow glued itself to the white plastic casing. I ended breaking a hole in the top so I could pound the old motor out.

The suspension was bleh so I changed the struts to some Monroe OE Spectrums with OME coils in the front and King Springs in the rear. The suspension had never been changed and it was rolling in the corners. Disappointed in the OME's, they gave me more than double the lift they were advertised for (1.25" instead of 0.5"). I bought some CAM bolts for my alignment next week. I still can't nail down some rattles I'm getting when I go over certain bumps. Also there is a clunk in the tranny when I get on the throttle and suddenly let off. Maybe I have a bad tranny mount or engine mount? Don't you love buying a vehicle off a negligent owner? emoticon

Anyway the end links look ok, there is no play in the wheels doing the 3-9 and 6-12 wheel checks. Only the front sway bar bushing look bad so I have SuperPro's going in when I find some time.

Installed a Scangauge II.

Installed a skid plate in the front, I forget the company but they are in the UK.

I changed my spark plugs today because I didn't know if the previous owner ever did.

Future plans include eliminating the rattle, cleaning up the body and paint (repaint a door, repair dings etc), maybe some nice wheels to fill in the fender gaps and widen the stance. Open to some ideas for exhaust and hp, but I'm not sure there are any easy bolt-ons that make any difference.

Not many active forums in my area so I'm glad I found an active one, thanks for having me!
