Hard to believe this is advertised as most popular small suv in Australia. By the way these 3 Oil rings are steel. Pn 13042-6n200. The boss that is on the Cover , that holds the Solenoid is around 2mm small in diameter than the inside diameter of the inlet came gear. so the rings most take up a lot of slack. As its oils pressure that controls the inlet timing. Is there a reason we cant add photos to posts?nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Wed, 04 Jul 2018 21:22:03 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095878,from=rss#post2095878https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095878,from=rss#post2095878If the manual says to replace them when disassembled then I would, if only to make sure there is no oil leak due to old compressed O-rings that would require pulling it all apart again.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Wed, 04 Jul 2018 21:09:29 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095871,from=rss#post2095871https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095871,from=rss#post2095871Has anyone replaced the OIL rings on the variable control on the inlet cam?? When replacing the cylinder head. there is 3 of them and the Nissan manual says to replace them at every disassembly. I ordered the 2 o rings that go between head and cam front cover. But the Service guys at Nissan Dealer weren't to sure if they had replace them before. https://nissan.7zap.com/en/gl/x+trail/t31z/2+809+1110/a/130/ 13042N x3 trade price @ $55nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Tue, 03 Jul 2018 21:15:36 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095865,from=rss#post2095865https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095865,from=rss#post2095865Well what a day. Removed the head of the 2006 xtrail. You need a e20 I think it is, to remove head bolts, early use 10 mm Allen head bolts. That's the easy part.its all the shit you have to remove to get the head off. Mechanic s that said they had done them before said not to hard. Well I must need to update tools. Getting the top half of inlet manifold off was ok but cramped, but all them bloody brackets hanging off the under side. Bit of Rusty stain in top of bore in #3 but ok. Now to get all the shit from the gasket of block.nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Sun, 01 Jul 2018 17:59:24 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095861,from=rss#post2095861https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095861,from=rss#post2095861Thanks I emailed younondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Thu, 28 Jun 2018 12:44:42 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095860,from=rss#post2095860https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095860,from=rss#post2095860quote:Revhead Kev wrote: In the Forum Discount Offers area for full members there is a free download thread for the T30 service manual. Reason is that our timing chain runs across the block/head interface and if too much is shaved off the head then the tensioner has too much slack to takeup, possibly running out of adjustment resulting in a loose chain causing excessive wear on the guides. This is something many of the Sentra guys with our QR25DE engine have found.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Tue, 26 Jun 2018 17:32:36 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095852,from=rss#post2095852https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095852,from=rss#post2095852Engine light on again after 700 km, running fine. Came on after driving in town all day, than restart after an hour. Took out plug 2 and 3, 3 is lightly corroded around bottom of thread. 300 ml water missing from overflow bottle in 700 km. So if head comes off, need good place for head and do they need to get valve shims adjusted?nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Tue, 26 Jun 2018 13:28:07 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095846,from=rss#post2095846https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095846,from=rss#post2095846thanks Kev nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Sun, 24 Jun 2018 22:23:12 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095845,from=rss#post2095845https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095845,from=rss#post2095845thanks Kev nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Sun, 24 Jun 2018 22:22:56 +0000 Re: 33 misfire, engine light.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095835,from=rss#post2095835https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2095835,from=rss#post2095835Under the brake fluid reservoir on the top of the timing chain cover you will see 2 wire lugs under bolts. T30 2006 man. QR25 After loss of power and checks, drained and check fuel tank, ok change fuel filter. 3 day later, miss fire, engine light, on scan tool #3 misfire code, running ok. reset. renew iridium plugs, swap 1 n 3 coil. new oil and filter , as due. plus a/f as well. cleaned MAF sensor. 2 more times over 3 weeks same code on 3. Also Nissan dealer scanned ok , did cylinder cut out , about even. checked injector fuel quantity seemed ok plus a heap of other checks while i watched. idea relearn as well. going to service injectors next week and compression test. 225,000km doesn't use oil up to 5k but oil and filter ever 5k. seems to do it around 2400 rpm around town. doesnt stop, or jerk. idle is good. What year mods effected by butterfly screws??????? any other ideas? update, nbn died while writing post last night at 12.30 am. nondisclosed_email@example.com (grumblesaw44)Thu, 21 Jun 2018 05:53:50 +0000
