posticon Re: T31 Drivers Seat Electric

Thanks for the pix and info Eric. I also have a 2010 Ti and have a similar problem that we have lived with for a couple of years since we bought the beast 3 years ago. We didn't really worry about the issue as it wasn't a concern and I continually FORGET to google the issue. I did today and found your posts and pix. I will be pulling the siding off tomorrow and have a look at what's going on.
Cheers
Rob

Re: T31 Drivers Seat Electric

No worries Rob. I found that even with double sided tape the rubber blocks came off. So, I know it's not the correct way of doing it, but I cut a length of 20x30mm timber long enough to sit on both lower rails and secured it with double sided tape from memory. All this does is limit the seats downward travel. The timber will also be held in place by the plastic side covers. It's been over 12 months and it hasn't moved since. The gears are still engaged and it goes up and down, but rather than pull the whole seat apart, I found this worked. It was going to be a temporary fix, but because it's working, I'm leaving it in for now.
