Help - 2006 Auto/Transaxle pan capacity??

Am starting to do my 120000K servicing

I have looked & searched everywhere for amount of fluid I will drain just from the pan.

I have found capacity of 8.5L, but pretty sure that includes converter.

Can anyone tell me how much fluid comes out if I just undo the pan drain plug.

I intent to use Penrite Full Synth ATS fluid

Apologies if it is a dumb question

By the service manual, 8.5 lt is correct.
The converter takes another 1 lt on its own only when removed and drained.

Ahh, ok thanks....am used to Wife's Subaru which only dumps 2 - 2.5L out of the pan....

8.5L seemed excessive

Edit: actually read my pdf manual again and it says
quote:

Fluid Capacity (With Converter) Approx 8.5 (7 1/2imp qt)

I chickened out...my drain pan only holds 6L or so

Will do later in the week when I find something more suitable with measurements on it

Interesting...

1st time I drained via sump plug I got just under 2.75 litres - trans was cold from sitting overnight

2nd time I drained, I got pretty much bang on 4 litres - trans was "warm"as I let it sit approx 1.5hrs after a basic drive home

Fluid was looking a bit coloured, so pretty happy to be changing some out.

I think I will repeat the "warm" change out again in the coming weeks....will keep an eye out for the Penrite Full Synth ATF on sale somewhere
