Re: T30 audio wirung colours
Hi Chris,
If you use the site search function with STEREO WIRING you will find the following thread
http://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/t127108
In there you should find what you are looking for.
If not, please post your follow-up questions there to avoid duplication of content.

Re: T30 audio wirung colours
The wire colours shown in the service manual are for the wiring loom rather than the short harness adapter which joins the 2 smaller connectors into the one larger connector of the headunit. You will have to peel back the foam covering to see them.
In the previous thread you searched, there is another link in the 4th post which takes you to a thread which has the wiring diagrams in the 6th post.
Also being a 2003 model, do you have a Series 1 T30 (rectangular rear reflectors in the bumper) or a Series 2 T30 (round rear reflectors in the bumper) ?
From the service manual I cannot see any difference in loom wiring colours between the 2 anyway though.

The colors i describe are the ones I see after pulling back the foam covering.
So then looking at the wiring diagram and matching both wire colours and pin positions with the diagram connector labelling you can see for the 4 grouped together, the OR (orange) wire is the rear right +ve and the Seablue as you call it which is actually white with a green stripe is the right rear -ve. Then the purple/black as you call it which is actually blue with a black stripe is the rear left +ve and the black/yellow is the rear left -ve.
Follow the same procedure for the wires on the other connector.

Re: T30 audio wiring colours
PLEASE make sure where you take it to they do not just cut off the Xtrail plugs and wire-in some other plugs for the other stereo.
There is an Aerpro harness for our Xtrail. Part #APP0120 which gives you a harness connecting the Xtrail plugs to ISO plugs.
If your new stereo has ISO sockets then this is all you need. Otherwise you will need a second harness to wire the ISO plugs to your new stereo sockets.
What is the make and model of your new stereo ?
