posticon G'day mates

Hi all - my name is Graham and I live in the suburbs south of Sydney. I've had my T32 X-Trail for just over 3 years now. Previously, I drove a CR-V for about 10 years - it was my first ever SUV style car and I loved the flexibility it gave... So much so, that when it was time to put it out to pasture, I wanted another SUV. The T32 model X-Trail caught my eye, and that was it - I was sold before even taking it out for a test drive.
I wish I could say I am an avid 4WD off-roader, putting my car to the test every weekend, but I wouldn't be able to cope with the scratches and dings that go with that lifestyle, and spending money on all the cool mods like LED lights, racks, and stuff is also something I'd have trouble with... so I have the basic ST 2.5L petrol 2WD, that simply runs me from Sydney to Wollongong and back each day. But I'm very happy with that, and I do it in comfort.
If I have 1 regret about my X-Trail, it is that I let my wife talk me into having a towbar fitted, instead of the fog lights I really wanted - in 3 years, I've used that towbar once (and found that the wiring harness is faulty anyway), whereas as anyone that drives down to Wollongong with any regularity will know - fog lights can be a boon around Bulli Pass!
Anyways - as I mentioned, I have an issue with my factory fitted towbar wiring harness, and that is why I have searched out this forum - I am hoping to tap into the expertise of the enthusiasts here who ARE avid 4WDers, and aren't scared to take their cars apart to mod them - but that's for another post - not my intro.
By the way - my forum name? It's a nod to the fact that my passion is photography, and when I finally get to retire, my wife and I are planning a road trip to see, experience, and photograph some of the lesser known places around Australia - maybe I'll upgrade to a 4WD X-Trail when that time comes...
