Re:
Can't find any photos of it fitted to an Exy either but the part number was G9890-8H000AU (Rear Sun Guard) and I remember it was much smaller than the aftermarket one and it wasn't a see-through type. There is one selling on Gumtree at the moment if you search that part number there.

Re: T30 Rear Sun Visor
To me, that actually looks illegal, if it covers up or darkens the high-mount stop light.

Re:
Yep, that's the aftermarket one and it's definitely not suitable for the T30 Ti model, as it will hit the spoiler when the tailgate is opened and Kev, it's 100% legal because the aftermarket one is tinted and the 3rd brake light can still be seen through it.
You must have forgot what we used to have on the 3rd brake light on the T30 Kev

Re: T30 Rear Sun Visor
According to ADR rule 60.3 there is a minimum illumination level specified for the high-mount stop lamp so if it shines through the sunshade and it is a dark tint then it could be judged as illegal.
Incidentally, 60.2.4.2 also states no lettering or numbering is allowed except for partnumber or approval number identification...so our Xtrail overlays could have been considered a defect too if the inspecting station wanted to be picky

Re:
You can simply say the xtrail doesn't have high mounted brake light and that's not illegal, as not all cars come with one

Umm, couldn't find the original ADR, but in 2006, they updated it, so it was definitely in force before then too, and from the table, required from 1996 at least, and most likely 1989 if a 'passenger Vehicle':
Vehicle Standard (Australian Design Rule 60/00 – Centre High Mounted Stop Lamp) 2006
C.1.1. This ADR applies to the design and construction of vehicles as set out in the table below.
C.1.2. Those vehicles must be equipped with a ‘Centre High-mounted Stop Lamp’ complying with the relevant requirements of this National Standard.
(Vehicle Category / ADR Category Code / UNECE Category Code / Manufactured on or after)
Passenger car / MA / M1 / 1 July 1989
Forward-control passenger vehicle / MB / M1 / 1 July 1996
Off-road passenger vehicle / MC / M1 / 1 July 1996
--- 2004 T30 series II, Ti (now sold)
JRR50 Pathfinder, QD32ETi Turbo Diesel, with 'lots o fruit'.
2012 Jeep Cherokee KK CRD Limited is current ride.
Will be looking for a white or silver 2011-2013 T31 TL (Diesel) to "pimp out".

Re:
I have driven a 2001 Exy from 2002 to 2011 and never had been questioned about the sticker on my 3rd brake light or a sunvisor ... They have bigger fish to fry mate but to each their own I guess
