Re:
I can see it Kev, having said that I wouldn't want anyone to be offering their personal Google Drive space to host photos for others, as each member can set-up their own Google Account and use this service. Google doesn't allow the display of thumbnails, so posting a full size photo which is linked to Google will slow down the page loading time for some people with slower internet connections or when viewing using a mobile/tablet...etc

Re:
It can work Julie but it's too much of a headache when sharing multiple photos. A thumbnail only uses about 4KB of space.

Post fixed to clarify as I did not consider it could be read as offering my own Google drive space for others when I wrote it.
I also consider that when I do this, I use a small file size and dimensions. I am knowledgeable enough not to post an 8MP photo that's 5MB in size. However there are other forums I use where people are not all as knowledgeable, and very large photos get posted which can cause problems, granted.
If the aim is to have pages to load faster on slower connections, maybe the forum administrators could consider reviewing some of the multitude of banners, photos, slideshows, icons and scrolling text shown on every page?

These only get loaded once only if you frequent the forum everyday mate, the photos in posts load everytime you click a post to view it Plus, it'll be too boring without our lovely Exy forum banners anyway

Re:
I'm afraid replacing all my photos is in the too hard basket, and so long ago now.
I've deleted one of my two accounts, and think I will just delete my main one - if I can get in far enough to do it.
I just read where someone tried to pay the basic monthly fee, but couldn't actually do it because of the adverts intruding and failing the transaction.
This is a good article I've just read - talking about "content theft".
https://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2017/07/06/photobucket-different-kind-content-theft/
and for anyone interested in the whirlpool thread
https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2647726
Not that it will make any difference to the eventual outcome, which is the current state of affairs I guess. Although someone may come up with a solution and post.
