Heater matrix question

Hi again all,
Has anyone had to change the gear in the heater matrix that changes the air direction? My wife has been a hit rock go with it and it is now jammed up and won't change past a certain point.
has anyone done it before?
Did you have to pull the whole dash out to remove the whole matrix/box or can you access it from the side without removing the lot?
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks ,
Jex

Re: Heater matrix question

hi Jex,

There are many parts to an Xtrail which many members would never have problems with let alone pull apart to fix.

If you are a full member of the forum then you can download a free copy of the electronic service manual. If not, then I might suggest this would be a good option for you especially if you intend doing repairs such as this yourself instead of giving the Xtrail to a dealer to do for you.

The electronic service manual will make your maintaining efforts much simpler.
