Playing MP3's on New X-trail

Bought my wife a brandnew X-trail diesel.. ST model..
She put her thumb drive that has alot of songs on it, only the first 255 were displayed and able to be played..

Has anyone come across this before or have a solution?

Re: Playing MP3's on New X-trail

Sorry can't help with a remedy - I've got over 400 songs on a thumb drive and it works fine but sometimes it gets into a mode where it only plays a limited number of them and I've found the cure is to take the drive out for about 5 mins and then put it back in. When you do that look at the top of the little screen and it should show that it has indexed up to 100%. When it loses the plot the index will only show something like 1%.

What I did find when it set it all up was that it didn't like WMA files, really prefers MP3. Try looking on your computer for a particular song, check what format it is and then try selecting that one from the play list in the car and maybe, a process of elimination/selection might track down the cause of the problem.

Good luck.
