Still trying to get the Old girl going. Had it tested and the oxygen sensor showed up as the issue. Replaced it and the mass air flow meter and still no joy. Starts first go. Idles like new but as soon as you put the accelerator it sounds terrible and just won't pick up. As mentioned before like it's flooded. No warning lights. Nothing. Thoughts always appreciated.

I had this problem on a very old car many years ago and it turned out to be an air leak in the carbureter seals.

We don't have carbureters any more but it could still be an air leak between the maf and the intake, confusing the ecu about the amount of air flowing through the system screwing up the air/fuel mixture.

Another thing to check is that there is no blockage of the air intake between the front opening and the filter box which might be letting enough air through for idling but not enough for acceleration.
