Because does that mean the Diesel is more "powerful" than the Petrol?? Makes me think about the whole "N/m torque vs HP/Kw" and how the temperature of the AT is affected. If the 6spd auto transmission is the same, then it must not like low rev / high torque because the Petrol would have much higher HP/Kw at revs, which is what I think would heat up an auto? Is it a Jatco? Any one know the "JFxxx" number, I can do some research.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Wiz Au)Thu, 08 Jun 2017 12:57:52 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093853,from=rss#post2093853https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093853,from=rss#post2093853Check the small vacuum lines. From turbo to the solenoid and from the vacuum tump. Next to the battery is a plastic T-connection. It may get fragile over the years. What is your MAP/boost sensor reading? I have 2,55kpa on full throttle.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ahto42)Tue, 30 May 2017 16:18:30 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093677,from=rss#post2093677https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093677,from=rss#post2093677Was told auto not up to the torque output when loaded up My missus can't drive manual. Seems there might be a way to connect an external cooler if you can find out more information about the mysterious plug bolts referred to by Ahtonondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Mon, 03 Apr 2017 07:57:36 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093531,from=rss#post2093531https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093531,from=rss#post2093531Seems to be a well thought over piece of engineering don't you think!? Haha So I guess there is no possibility of externally cooling these bad boys ay... good work you engineers you! nondisclosed_email@example.com (xXBigBroXx)Sun, 02 Apr 2017 21:12:10 +0000 Re: T31 diesel auto limitationshttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093447,from=rss#post2093447https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093447,from=rss#post2093447It is to do with the transmission cooling. Instead of running the oil out to the radiator where an external cooler can be fitted, they pipe the radiator water to the transmission. This does not seem to be as efficient so less cooling.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Fri, 17 Mar 2017 22:30:45 +0000 T31 diesel auto limitationshttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093436,from=rss#post2093436https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093436,from=rss#post2093436It's probably been done to death and for the life of me, I cannot find where I read on this forum, the reasons for the 6spd auto having a substantially lower power output than the manual diesel variant!? Is it to do with a weak auto trans or lack of cooling capability? nondisclosed_email@example.com (xXBigBroXx)Wed, 15 Mar 2017 21:33:24 +0000
