T31 Electric Seats Recliner Problem

Hi team,

I've searched high and low but can't find anything.

I have a T31 Diesel with leather seats that have the electric heating element and electric motors for recliner and forward/back/up/down.

My driver seat recliner switch has stopped pushing the seat back forward. It will push back no worries, and the other switch works fine, but I just can't get the recliner to move my seat-back forward again.

It's starting to bother me cos each time it gets bumped I end up laying further and further back in the seat!

Any ideas on how to trace the wiring or possibly figure out what is wrong would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks heaps,
Israel.

Re:

I’m in the same situation, but my seat won’t recline back and is sitting bolt upright. How did you go about fixing yours was it just a switch connection problem or something else? The motor seams to work just fine.
Any info would help.

Re:

Hi mate,

I took the car to an auto electrician, and I think it was just a dodgy switch. From memory (a while back now) it was around $100-150 for parts/labour to fix.

Good luck!
