Is this a good buy?


Hi all,

I am taking a look at these 2 x-trail's tomorrow and I was wondering if its a good price for the age/k's and I do plan on negotiating.

So I ended up going with the 2004 exy, belonged to an old guy (first owner) with all service history and he lived in Hornsby.

Just need to get new tires (bridgestone allrounders.... YUCKY!!!) roof racks and a tow bar and we are set :-)

Drives very smoothly, no leaks or anything and should serve us well.
Got it for $6000 drive away.

The 2007 had issues, smoke in engine bay after flogging it, oil leaking from sump, front bearings noisy etc... Engine looked corroded (white spots on all aluminium bits) and many screws look rusted etc... I'd say it was flogged on the beach a lot and not cleaned properly afterwards.
