Location to test out my X-trail (Victoria) Hi Guys,
So I've had the X-trail for a while, but haven't had the opportunity to really test it out!
I'd like somewhere with some steep inclines where I can test out the lock mode and downhill assist but also just throw it around and get an idea on what it's capable of.
I did read about somewhere north of Melbourne called 'The Quarry' which as the name suggests is an abandoned quarry where people take their 4x4 to test them, but has anyone been there?
I'll be likely going alone or with passengers so needs to be somewhere that I'm not going to get stuck getting to as I will have no recovery gear.

Re: Location to test out my X-trail (Victoria) I recently bought 4wd treks close to melbourne by robert pepper.
You should try the Anglesea Heath trip... Really cool, xtrail doable and very scenic. We saw a wedgetail eagle hover above us at close range for a minute or two.
The mt disappointment trip wat pretty good too.
Brisbane Ranges trip is 2wd but does have some pretty steep hills. I've found it needs to be pretty darn steep to use the abs descent. Took me ages to work out you have to use it in neutral with 4wd lock on.
Good luck have fun and turnaround if you think you really should...
