Which tyres fit in spare wheel well?

So I have a T31.

Which 16" and 17" tyres will fit in the sparewheel well, without deflation.

OEM: 225/60/17 - OK
1 size up: 225/65/17 - I believe they require deflation

16": 235/70/16 - Nope, no chance
225/70/16 - not sure... they're slightly smaller than 225/65/17

I'm trying to decide on new tyres, but don't want to have to carry around a compressor if it can be avoided.

Hi Michael,

Measure the spare space in your boot and then use THIS tyre and rim size calculator to work out if it'll fit or not with your tyre choice.

In terms of the space itself, it can fit rim and tyre size upto 18" with the factory rim and tyre combination without deflation.

Might just be easier to measure it up emoticon

I mainly wanted to know if someone had gotten in a 225/70/16 tyre into the wheel well without deflation - its slight smaller than Todd's 225/70/17 tyres, and I know that you have to deflate to 5PSi to get those in

I did in my T30 but that doesn't mean the wheel-wells are the same in your T31

225/65/17 is too big for the well if fully inflated. Need to deflate to fit.

Re:

Hi all,

Is anyone experiencing a bulging of the boot tray floor because of tyre width?
I have a genuine full size mag with 225/60/17 and I'm seeing the two piece floor sheets rock left and right due to tyre pushing the middle up slightly.
