Mud Collecting at Rear Wheel Well


Have mud collecting in forward niche at rear wheel well.

Is this standard or is there something missing......if left it will definitely rust out?

Yes, that spot is standard dirt collection point and must be flushed out everytime you go off-road and properly washed.

The section you posted the thread was talking about "Forum Bug Fixes" as in glitches emoticon

No other solutions available, it's the way the fender is designed. It would only pose an issue of you do off-roading everyday.

Mud collects everywhere.
There are a lot of places where mud and dirt get trapped on an X Trail.
You should look under your doors too.
