Jeep XJ wheels on T30 - will they fit?

I've been looking for some wheels for my trailer that could double as a spare for my T30 series 2 ST. There is a distinct lack of second hand x-trail wheels in hobart but I stumbled across a cheap set of wheels off an XJ jeep cherokee. They are 15x7 with a 35mm offset with 225/75x15 tyres. I can't see any reason why these won't fit on an x-trail but I can't find anyone who has done this swap before.

Does anyone if these wheels will fit and if not why they won't?

Re:

Just throwing it out there have you considered buying 2nd hand and having shipped from interstate or does that cost end up Killing any savings you'd make from a 2nd hand purchase?

Re: Jeep XJ wheels on T30 - will they fit?

I hadn't even considered an interstate purchase cause my experience in my younger days was that freight on wheels and tyres was prohibitely expensive.

I took the plunge and bought the jeep wheels that I found that were a bargain - the seller wanted $150 for 5 with tyres but when I got there he chucked in 2 more. I haven't had a chance to fit them on the x-trail yet to see if they fit but I have put a straight edge on the back of the wheel to measure the distance to the bit that touches the hub and they are only 2mm different to my x-trail standard wheels.

I'll attempt to put the wheels on my x-trail over the weekend and I'll report back then. Even if they don't fit at least I have wheels for my trailer, which was the main point of the exercise anyway emoticon

Re: Jeep XJ wheels on T30 - will they fit?

I can report that Jeep 15x7 wheels fit the T30 perfectly - they stick out about 5mm more but that just means they fill the guards nicely. No rubbing at all.

Plus they look much better than the standard x-trail wheels without hubcaps.

For the price that a wrecker quoted me for 2 x-trail wheels I now have 7 matching wheels so I can have the same on my trailer and on my x-trail. Now just to paint the trailer to match...

Re:

Jeep 5x114.3 wheels fit fine in most cases. I advise you to use special "rings" they sell in tireship to make Jeep's centre bore a bit smaller
Jeep Centre bore: 71.6 mm
X-Trail Centre Bore: 66.1 mm

you can use them without those rings and center the wheel using correct tightening method of nuts but...

Re:Jeep wheels on T30

I recently fitted the Jeep wheels in a 16x7in to my T30 and have to say they are "perfect". When I asked about the centres, I was told "No 4WD steel wheel aligns on the centres anyway, don't worry about it."
