I am dissapointed as I'd been contributing to the magazine (Jonno Manton) from pretty much the start. I'm glad you are getting your money back though, as I provided a good few stories I unfortunately didn't get my payment for doing most of them. But that's the way it is I guess.nondisclosed_email@example.com (mants)Thu, 16 Feb 2017 16:23:17 +0000 Re: Softroader Magazinehttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093260,from=rss#post2093260https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093260,from=rss#post2093260I did receive a phone call today from the 'subscription' number listed in the post from AdVSUV below....i.e 02 8355 6841.  I was advised that I would receive a refund for the remainder of the subscription period. They had my details including address etc so "the cheque will be in the mail' so to speak. The caller was apologetic but I said that I realise that if any publication does not attract the required subscription level to remain financially sustainable then "that's life".  It is a shame because I enjoyed reading the only edition of the magazine I received. I was asked if I rode a bike because there is apparently a magazine for Adventure Bike Riders but at my age I am not inclined to indulge in 2 wheel bike riding. Anyway, I am happy that a refund is on the cards. cheersnondisclosed_email@example.com (dlpeek)Thu, 16 Feb 2017 16:05:09 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093253,from=rss#post2093253https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2093253,from=rss#post2093253I am in the same boat, I renewed my subscription for 2 years. I received the November - December 2016 edition and enjoyed reading it. I have been patiently waiting for the January - February 2017 edition. Today I rang a phone number that was listed on the Magazine to advise that I have not yet received the Jan-Feb 2017 issue. After being put on hold for a short time I was then advised that the magazine had been discontinued. That was disappointing. I then stated that my daughter should now be refunded for 5 issues. I was advised that the there was no one currently available from the "subscription" department and was advised that there was a process for refunding subscriptions etc. They took my phone number and advised that I would receive a call from the description department when it was staffed. I await that call. I understand that it may be uneconomical for the magazine to be published if it is not supported and so be it. However I also expect that my daughter will be reimbursed for most of the subscription fee. I will advise all of the outcomenondisclosed_email@example.com (dlpeek)Wed, 15 Feb 2017 17:16:26 +0000 Re: Subs offerhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2091396,from=rss#post2091396https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2091396,from=rss#post2091396Hi Everyone I've managed to negotiate a subs offer for club and forum members. At least they are paid ads and they help to pay for publishing as well as expanding the view of those who may be interested in whatever is offered. Personally, I have learned to bypass advertisements in magazines. The shape and colour cues me to avert my gaze back to read the Article. I also flick channels when ads are on and use Adblockers.
