You'll be better of buying a 2nd hand one for around $150 bucks max, just check the "For Sale" section of our forum or jump on eBay.
There are many aftermarket head units and CD stackers which are better in quality than the factory Clarion unit anyway. Just use the forum Site Search to locate them and do a bit of research about them from your side.
EDIT: Just had a quick look on Gumtree and you can get the T31 X-Trail CD stacker for $50 bucks! check out the details HERE. I believe the DIN size is exactly the same between the T30 and T31 models.

Most of the Nissan CD stackers are indeed interchangeable and yes you will indeed require the security code or the VIN of the car it came out of if the security code is not available.
