Re: manual reset of SRS warning light
Thanks heaps, Jalalski. It's cleared!
I had the same fault caused when I moved the passenger seat back. There was nothing under the seat and nothing to obstruct the connectors in any way but it appeared the instant I moved the seat while the engine was running and I was sitting in the driver's seat, it appeared. So I know it was the seat connectors or cables..
I wiggled the connector a bit without unplugging it and then did the reset. All good.
The only thing I can think of is the connectors have become corroded (open circuit as the manual says)and now may fault again. In that case they may need replacing.
I write this so others may be aware the the stupidest thing can set off an error code.
Thanks.

Hi Ben,
If it was just an accidental disconnection of any of the airbag wiring harness, the following re-set procedure will clear the flashing airbag warning. If it doesn't work, you should take the car to the dealership to trouble-shoot further:
1. Turn the key from off to on.
2. Watch the airbag light closely. It will stay on for a few secs. and then as soon as it blinks off (the start of the flashing), turn the key off instantly.
3. Count to 5 (1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi . . . .)
4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times until you have done the cycle three times.
5. Now turn the key on and watch the light. It will start blinking in a different, slower manner. This is diagnostic mode. You can watch this for a little while, no hurry.
6. Now turn the key off again, Count to 5 like in step 3 again, and turn back on. If the procedure worked, the airbag light will not be flashing.
I registered in the forum just to say thank you as I had this issue
By the way, I disconnected a relay behind the glovebox, is that an airbag relay or the fan motor relay?
Thank you.

Re: SRS air bag warning light continually blinking
Unfortunately the Electronic Service Manual only shows that a flashing Airbag lamp indicates a malfunction and needs to be diagnosed with a Consult reader terminal by Nissan. There are no different flash counts to show what is the problem like the engine malfunction lamp does.
