tow hitch affecting ride height?

Hello,

Fitted a Pedders kit to the T31 M9R. I've done about 1000kms since. Ride height front is 705mm, rear 695mm (using the Pedders method). Pedders web site shows the result should be 695mm at front and 705 at rear. Spoke to Pedders.....they suggest the tow hitch is causing the issue (it's a genuine Nissan removable hitch) - acting like a lever pulling down the rear. Could this be possible?

George.

Your numbers and theirs are back-to-front.
Maybe they put the front springs in the back and rear in the front ?
Can they show you any identifying markings to prove they put them in correctly ?

Re: tow hitch affecting ride height?

Hi Kev,

Fitted them myself, front and rears cannot be swapped, they are totally different and won't fit.
Thanks for reply though,

George.

Have you got part numbers for the springs you installed?
You may have the diesel springs which would be stiffer in the front. Either way they won't stay at their current height. They will settle.
As for the rears, have you got any weight in the rear? The tow hitch excuse doesn't cut it to me.
