Re: Re: 120 000 klm on a set of tyres ......so far.
Im amazed by these things.
I have to admit, I do mostly highway driving, but I have done this kind of driving for the last 30 years and never got close to this sort of mileage.
I was a little concerned that they might be getting a bit hard, as some tyres do.
But the last week of rain and storms have proven that they still hang on regardless.
I had to swerve and break hard in the wet when a driver lost it on a corner, the xtrail tracked perfectly, and only had a moments skiddish behaviour when I had to change direction a second time to avoid the car.
This was at 70 klm/ hr.
I was going to replace them before xmas, but after that little exercise in adrenaline production, I think Ill wait a few more months.
Its coopers for me from now on.

Re: New Cooper CS5 Touring Tyres Well, just bit the bullet and purchased a new set of tyres.
Cooper again.
120000 klm and still has wear left, if I was noly doing city work at slow speeds, Id probably leave them on.
But I do a lot of high speed driving with highways full of idiots, so I need good tyres.
This is what all 4 tyres look like at 120000 klm
