Give it a go, as it's better than not being able to open the sunroof at all. The drain holes for the T30 are in the front 2 corners, so even if the sunroof opens partially for you, you should be able to access them.

Have found the bent crank allen key handle in the boot under the lid...will be back to see if I could do it...

Managed to open and close the sunroof using the handle only. Weird operation because if close it too hard there is a gaping hole into the rear roof compartment, so you have to wind it a bit check it then wind it some more so its level with the roof.

I also found the culprit. The air con drain hose was sitting inside the floor and not through he firewall....explains the smell as well.
