Here are the night shots.

So you can see they're about as bright as the low beams. Does anyone think these are likely to get me in trouble? I drove past a couple of cop cars tonight with no adverse reactions, for whatever that's worth.

Re: Drew's T31 X-Chariot

I drove home from the sunshine coast last night after picking up a cargo blind and not a single car flashed me, so they can't be too bad. I also followed the same car for over an hour, so I imagine if they were too blinding, he wouldn't have stayed in front of me all that time!

Re: Drew's T31 X-Chariot

I need opinions!

I picked up this ECB Type 8 bar for an excellent price, but I'm not 100% convinced I should put it on my baby. It's a little bit ugly, but it does offer great protection.

So I propped it up at about the right height, but keep in mind that it's a good 6 inches further forward than it would be actually fitted to the car.

I couldn't get the blasted thing to sit quite level either, grrr.

I'm not a big fan of the Type 8 bars.
they look like someone has made a bar out of a farm gate.

Re: Drew's T31 X-Chariot

Well I eventually decided that even though it looks like a farm gate, I would get it put on. I do a fair bit of night driving on roo infested roads.

I was quoted rather large sums to get this thing put on, and being a uni student I'm perpetually broke, so I got fitting instructions from ECB and decided to do it myself. Took me probably 6 hours, and lots of blood, sweat, tears and cursing, but I got there emoticon

Let the games begin...

Finally got the front bumper off. This was by far the worst part!

Got all the brackets on, time for a test fit of the bar to check everything lines up, which it did.

All done!

Have yet to put my middle and bottom chrome grille inserts back in. I'm going to have to trim them slightly to fit around the brackets, and I'm loathe to cut them lol.

Re: Drew's T31 X-Chariot

Just got back from a trip to Brisbane to do a venomous snake handling course.
I picked up a towbar and full size spare wheel from a wrecker while I was there too, so the next bit of fun will be getting the towbar fitted. That's not one I really want to do myself.

Although the front bar hasn't fallen off yet emoticon

Re:

The towbar is easier that the front bar.
You still have to remove the rear bumper though.
