Re:

I've ordered heaps of stuff from overseas. Always looked for the 99.9% positive reviews and gold stars, etc. and never had a problem. It was only luck I got there just as my lunchbreak finished ... one of the guys was signing for it.

This was from "xxx Motors" which I found is a car dealer in Warrnambool so I thought, okay, in the car industry in Australia so should be okay. Might well be the same people you bought from and the same brainless clot in the parts department sent it out. No joy so far from either TNT (the depot must have shoved the problem under the carpet) or from the seller so I rang TNT and lodged an enquiry. They were pretty good with an enquiry about something totally different I put in a while ago (after all, delivering stuff is their business). Trying to deliver a mangled package is not good for business and I can't believe they accepted it in the first place untaped. They said they'll be contacting the seller too.

I ordered the headlight protectors from the same mob but I shall think positive thoughts or this will all turn into a self-fulling prophesy of disaster. They're being delivered by Australia Post (I think/hope) to my PO box. I've seen Australia Post staff retape parcels if they thought they looked a bit iffy before putting it in their baskets behind the counter.

Luckily, there's not anything more I'll be looking to get at the moment so if there's anything else I think I'll just ring around the dealers here for prices.

Drat you, Murphy!

The more I drive Eddie the better I like him BUT ... the saga continues.

No response at all from the ebay seller re the almost empty box delivered, sans my side body moldings. TNT deny responsibility even though they decided accepting an untaped box and delivering a mangled, empty box was a good thing.

Still waiting for the cargo area mat to replace the one which had been made in reverse.

Still waiting for the headlight protectors (coming from Qld so don't mind if it takes a bit longer).

I've owned Eddie 2 weeks now ... 1 week spent in the drive with a cracked windscreen. Booked in for replacement, done this morning. Guy assured me the screen would be identical. Silly me, I didn't insist on checking before they installed it. It wasn't. No black checked pattern behind the rearview mirror, ugly blue tinted strip across the top. Waterworks ensued (3 hours sleep does that to you). The bloke is now going to try to order in a genuine screen so I'm stuck with the blue one for probably another couple of weeks. Stupid thing is, every other Nissan (Pathfinder, etc) screen he had there had the checks on them. I might have swallowed smoke tinting but blue ... nuh uh.

I am currently wolfing down one of those mini pavlovas with the cream and fruit on top.

I'm having the bullbar/towbar installed on 5 April. The quote listed "silver ripple" despite stipulating "silver hammertone" at the time (two different things). When I booked it in I made sure he knew it would be hammertone and I saw him write it in the work book. I will be inspecting BEFORE installation. So help me, if I go there and it's the wrong one, there won't be enough left to bury!!!

Let me offer some advice ... don't try to do everything at once. Stress in small amounts is okay ... everything going wrong at once is just ... just ....

Pav's all gone. I need chocolate.

This is getting ridiculous!

Had the tow bar put on last Saturday. Bonza! Unfortunately there is a 2-3 week delay before the bull bar is put on (it was to have been fitted at the same time as the tow bar).

And on that note ... tonight I get to the train station and some total dipstick DROVE THEIR CAR INTO THE BAY HEAD ON TO MINE, STRAIGHT INTO EDWARD AND LEFT THE NUMBER PLATES KISSING!!! emoticon No daylight at all. I could see the number plate was bent in and I immediately ran straight for the security guys to report it and so they could witness the cars' separation. I cannot believe it but there was no damage to Edward! emoticon Due to a university parking permit on the car they were immediately able to trace the owner who will be fined. The security guys were great. Pointed out good angles to take photos and got onto the security camera people (not to be, pointed another way but they'd repositioned it to catch the culprit when they returned).

No way Dipstick didn't know he/she'd hit me. Just up and left the cars like that, no note on my windscreen. What an idiot. If she'd moved I'd have probably never known about it.

I ... want ... my ... bull ... bar ... NOW.

That bar looks great! Really gives the car a bit of presence.

Re: Hammertone

Wow Girl, he's looking great.
I don't have a bulbar or nudge bar as yet, and was considering black hammertone to decrease sun reflection, but if yours is silver it doesn't look very reflective- please advise.

Re: Hammertone

I think Edward is the bees knees.

If it's the ECB bar then it would be black ripple - solid black with the bubble texture. The silver hammertone is like a silver base with a fair amount of black stippling over the bubble texture which stops the reflections. Very practical colour, doesn't show the bugs and glare hasn't been a problem. I didn't want all black. I figured it would show every smashed insect that hit it and it was just a little too much black. A girl's gotta know how to accessorize.
