And they didn't even have the item in stock - I didn't expect them to, but heck Nissan are your overheads for carrying spare parts in Australia and transfer pricing to the dealers really that high??!! I just bull**** Nissan into thinking I want to buy the part from them and just want the part number to check the price at my local dealer blah blah. I would love to have a part catalogue but sadly I don't. Amayama will have both European (usually out of the middle east) and Asian (out of Japan) parts.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Wed, 16 Oct 2013 06:33:24 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078585,from=rss#post2078585https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078585,from=rss#post2078585Ring Nissan parts Kev and make it sound like you need to buy that item. Sometimes they will ask for a VIN number so have it handy just in case. Ask them for the part number to confirm it is the right part, then give some sweet talk after and ask how long it takes to come in to reassure them that you are going to go through with the deal.nondisclosed_email@example.com (cooch t31)Wed, 16 Oct 2013 05:18:50 +0000 Re: Amayamahttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078582,from=rss#post2078582https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078582,from=rss#post2078582Todd, Where did you get the part number to search with on the site ? Did you get it from Nissan or do you have a parts-list catalogue ? For my T30 I had a look on the site and have to go through the T30 Europe to even find an option for the QR25DE model but they are called different versions from ours nondisclosed_email@example.com (Revhead Kev)Tue, 15 Oct 2013 22:26:11 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078581,from=rss#post2078581https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078581,from=rss#post2078581Oh and just to give an idea of pricing - local toyota dealer wanted around $85 for a part (anti squeal shim kit for front brakes), $25 or so on Amayama, ended up getting a few other bits in the same order came to less than what the dealer wanted just for the shimsnondisclosed_email@example.com (DJR9000)Tue, 15 Oct 2013 22:12:03 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078580,from=rss#post2078580https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078580,from=rss#post2078580I have used them once, for Toyota parts but have found their pricing to be usually 50% off the Nissan price, sometimes more when looking for things. Makes you wonder who benefits most from the high prices, Nissan Aust or the dealers. Postage was reasonable ($13!) and fast (they use Fastway from their Aussie warehouse in Peakhurst NSW)nondisclosed_email@example.com (DJR9000)Tue, 15 Oct 2013 22:10:29 +0000 Re: Amayamahttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078526,from=rss#post2078526https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078526,from=rss#post2078526Really good John. Have bought from them twice now and both times the delivery period was pretty much spot on for what they estimated. Parts are the real deal too. Nissan stamped and everything.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Mon, 14 Oct 2013 06:28:30 +0000 Re: Amayamahttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078521,from=rss#post2078521https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078521,from=rss#post2078521Thanks for this Todd How have you found them overall ? I cracked an intake pipe recently. Nissan quote for the part was $412. I got it from the amayama.com website for $63 including postage. The Nissan Australia mark up on parts is a joke. If you have time I recommend always get the part number from Nissan and get the part from the website. You could literally save hundreds.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Fri, 11 Oct 2013 16:19:03 +0000
