Re: Modified Rear Bumper

Picked up the bumper yesterday for $250 from GMS Spares in Revesby. I even got to choose between bumpers that had a hole cut for tow bar and those that didn't. The one I got is white. Gave it a light sand last night and will be painting it tonight. Just need to get the paint code and visit supercheap.

Re:

G41 - Diamond Black is the colour-code of your T31 Exy Todd. However, am not sure if Nissan used a different paint on the plastic bumpers as it does give the impression that it is matt finish in some sections of the bumper, so you better check with the dealer.

Re: Modified Rear Bumper

Thanks Jalal. Yeah the matt sections are not painted. Just moulded black plastic. Only need to paint the side sections of the bumper. Should be fairly straightforward.

Re: Modified Rear Bumper

Apparently Supercheap don't stock G41 for the X-Trail??? Luckily there is an Autobarn down the road and the bloke there knew what he was on about. Apparently their listing though is for 2001-2007. Shouldn't matter as I'm pretty sure both my T30 and T31 Diamond Black X-Trails were the same colour.

Re:

Nope mate, the T30 Black Obsidian is KH3 colour-code (I had a black T30 remember) emoticon

It's different black for sure, the T30 is flat black and the T31 has sparkles in it like metallic paint.

Re:

Todd, make sure you use a plastic primer undercoat before you spray the colour on.
Try an auto paint shop, you can get half a litre of two pack paint to suit your Xy for around $40.
There's a good one in Penrith if your out this way.
Give me a buzz if you want their details.
