posticon O2 Sensor removal

Ok for those who don't know where the O2sensor is on the T30.

There is a heat shield for the exhaust at the FRONT of the engine bay.A big silver curved piece of alloy.

Remove this by four nuts, two on top and two down the front.
Get under the front of the car to remove the lower ones.
Pull it out from the top and you will see the "sparkplug" type sensor in the RHS of the exhaust manifold.

.Tip>spray a little WD-40 on the nuts as they may be a little rusty and leave them for a few minutes.

As to removing the sensor...I havn't worked that one out yet so stay tuned or help if you know how.

Tanks for reading.

Re: O2 Sensor removal

Ok some pics for some help.

Location and what it looks like.(O2 sensor)

The biggest problem I had was getting the damn plug off the clip that holds it to the plumbing at the plug end.
The way around that is first lube it up then bend the bugger around so you can see the tonge that holds the plug in place and you can get a screwdriver to push on it as you pull the green plug with pliers to remove it.

Sorry I shuld av taken some more pics of that.

Hope this helps.

can anyone tell by looking at the sensor if it is stuffed or is it all internal.

By the way how much are they from Nissan?

Re:

Will be expensive from Nissan (but try it). Unit is an NGK one from the factory though so price up an NGK one OZA544-N7 from normal places. I used a Bosch universal LS07 sensor, cost about $80 or so but the NGK one is better as it has the right plug, bosch one has to be fitted to the old wire which takes about 30 mins... with the NGK one just screw it in and plug it that's it

In 2006 with the introduction of the Series 2 ST-S version with dual catalytic converters in compliance with EURO3 emission regulations. (this is also when it dropped in power to 123KW)
