Nice logic when their representative was incompetent in finding the fault and making the claim.nondisclosed_email@example.com (six20aus)Tue, 18 Mar 2014 16:00:46 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081699,from=rss#post2081699https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081699,from=rss#post2081699It depends if the dealer has ever recorded your initial complaints about the problem in their database and your service invoice. With my T30 when I had, I reported to them the transfer case leak twice within the warranty period and they noted it down in their books and my invoice and when I was out of warranty by about 7,000kms the leak got worse. I reported it the 3rd time and reminded them of the previous 2 times and it was immediately covered by warranty repairs at no cost to me at all. It was a major job too.nondisclosed_email@example.com (jalalski)Tue, 18 Mar 2014 13:24:45 +0000 Re: Warranty questions ** Updated **https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081695,from=rss#post2081695https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081695,from=rss#post2081695Wow what a nightmare. Unbelievable that Nissan refused a claim for a fault that existed inside the warranty period. Their approach to warranties was part of the reason I jumped ship.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Tue, 18 Mar 2014 13:16:57 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081693,from=rss#post2081693https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2081693,from=rss#post2081693Well as an update I gotta say I'm pretty p*ssed with Northern Motor group in Bundoora where I had my vehicle serviced. I took it to them before the warranty period ended twice with the sensor problem and they said they looked and couldn't find it. I never got the feeling they tried too hard and the service guy I spoke to told me he would personally take my vehicle home overnight if necessary to find the problem. Never happened. A month later the fault happened again and I took a photo of the ABS and ESC warning lights coming on and took the car back. Funny how all of a sudden with proof of the problem they could find the fault codes after all. Faulty ABS module. $4500 in parts and several hours labour. Nissan Australia have declined to cover it under warranty as the vehicle was now outside of extended warranty.nondisclosed_email@example.com (six20aus)Tue, 18 Mar 2014 12:59:19 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074138,from=rss#post2074138https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074138,from=rss#post2074138Ok, thanks for your helpnondisclosed_email@example.com (six20aus)Mon, 27 May 2013 15:29:20 +0000 Re: Warranty questionshttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074137,from=rss#post2074137https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074137,from=rss#post2074137Only way to find out for sure is to take it to a dealer let them assess everything and they will apply to Nissan Australia to have it repaired under warranty.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Mon, 27 May 2013 14:59:43 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074131,from=rss#post2074131https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074131,from=rss#post2074131We bought the extended Nissan factory warranty from the Nissan dealership when we bought it, as the car was under 100k we stll had the chance to extend the base 100k warranty out to 150k which I thought was a good idea at the time....nondisclosed_email@example.com (six20aus)Mon, 27 May 2013 13:51:43 +0000 Re: Warranty questionshttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074130,from=rss#post2074130https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074130,from=rss#post2074130This all depends on what your warranty is. It would be either Nissan Australia or the specific dealer. Extended dealer warranties are usually very limited with what they cover. Only Nissan or the dealer you purchased from can answer the questions you have asked. I would think that a Nissan Australia warranty should cover pretty much everything on your list but then again you never really know. Feels like it's a flip of the coin a lot of the time.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Mon, 27 May 2013 13:26:13 +0000 Warranty questions ** Updated **https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074129,from=rss#post2074129https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2074129,from=rss#post2074129We bought our 2010Ti with about 90k on the clock from a Nissan dealer. We paid the extra to get the extended warranty out to 150k. We're now at 140k with a few problems so just wanting to understand whats covered by warranty and what would not be so I'm armed with the right knowledge up front before I contact a Nissan dealer (don't want to get fobbed off). 1. Oil cooler leak    - Has developed of late, its not bad but the mechanic I saw (not Nissan) told me it should be covered under warranty 2. Sensor problem     - In rain or high air moisture (cold morning/late night) the ESC and ABS system kicks in and out. Turning the car off and re-starting seems to alleviate the problem once the car warms up a bit but seem to me water is getting in to a sensor somewhere - never happens in the dry. 3. Surging     - Might be related to the sensor problem but sometimes the car doesnt idle in park or in drive nicely, engine surges up and down 4. Leather seat front passenger     - Leather ripping and pulling away from the base which is strange because there are no large people that use that side. 5. Reverse beep     - Lately the BEEP sticks and stays on the whole time in reverse which is really distracting and annoying nondisclosed_email@example.com (six20aus)Mon, 27 May 2013 13:07:30 +0000
