T30 steering wheel?

G'day guys,

Just a quick first up post...

Would a Series 2 steering wheel fit onto my Series 1?

Ie: cruise control, airbag etc would all easily be clipped in?

TIA!

Re:

Hi Will,

Not really sure about the cruise control, but I fitted a Series 2 T30 steering wheel from a Ti to my Series 1 ST without any problems and the airbag was 100% compatible. I am pretty sure the cruise control connection would be the same as well.

The T30 Series 2 leather steering wheel does look better than the Series 1 indeed.

Hey Jalal,

On another note, could you get a non-cruise control steering wheel and just stick my cruise control on the replacement steering wheel?

Yep, just remove the side flap of the steering wheel and screw in your cruise control to it. In my case, I had a Series 1 ST which didn't come with the factory cruise control, so when I picked-up the leather steering wheel of a Series 2 Ti, I had to buy a cover flap to cover the cruise control position on the right side of the steering wheel. In your case, I reckon the cruise control factory attchement is exactly the same between Series 1 and 2.
