Yeah I suspected as much. Shame that all that work was undone by someone but what can ya do.
They would have removed it to make it easier to sell I'd imagine Max.

Yeah I suspected they would. If they told me I definitely would have pulled it off and sold it. I reckon I know at least 1 person who would have been keen to buy it hey Ian.

Re: Max's T30

So I have pulled of the factory Nissan Roof Racks and replaced them with the square heavy duty rhino bars. I have also re mounted the iron man side awning and added an arb roof top tent. I like it

Good for you mate! I'd hazard a guess that you'll be one of only a select few (if not the only) xtrail out there with a rtt. Enjoy it!

Re: Max's T30

Thanks Ian,

It wasn't without its dramas though. Being narrower than other 4wds I couldn't fit the awning and tent on without a struggle. I had to mount the awning brackets upside down to allow the RTT to sit central. Then I had an issue of the top awning bolt touching the rack so that it wouldn't sit flush. Out came the grinder and BAM, sits flush haha. When in doubt, GRIND IT!!

I thought you had one???? or did you get rid of it?

I had the same problem; ended up having to bend my shovel mounts down so the tent could even be opened/setup, and I still couldn't setup the window flap on the side with the awning because I can no longer get the support poles into their holes(awning was blocking them).

I do still have one, I just not longer have an xtrail to mount it on haha emoticon

Re: Max's T30

By mounting my awning brackets upside down so the awning sits below the roof racks I am still able to squeeze the window poles in. I love the tent. (sorry again about your exy).

Just purchased an egg shell overlay for the tent matress and an LED light strip to attach to the roof cross bars permanently. Can't wait until the dry season for some camping.
