Re: Max's T30

Ian: i see what your saying. The exhaust shop up here were just really uninterested in what I was trying to achieve and it looks like that you had a good local guy who understood your needs/wants and delivered that to you. At my present point of time meaning the dry season is rapidly approaching and the good camping weather is about to start I was wanting to fit a low profile exhaust simply to improve clearance. But I don't think that will happen as my local shop up here that do exhausts, lets change the name to 'pyre tower' emoticon (no one will guess the real name there haha) are uninterested and I can't find a straight exhaust specialist to do a custom job near me. As i have spent a few grand on the exy in the last few months i am rapidly running out of money. At the moment a GIZ snorkel is a high priority to get my air intake up out of the dust and some old man emu shocks to go with my king springs. That's about 1300 bucks right there hence my reasoning for a cheaper option to the Hi tech.

Jalal don't get me wrong the hi tech is a great exhaust and the guys that make them need a big high five for taking the time to design the only bolt on exhaust on the market. I think in the future I can see myself buying a cat back hi tech but right now cheap and easy will allow me to do more mods at the same time BUUUUTTTTTT there doesn't seem to be that option for me in Broome. So I may just have to do the snorkle and shocks and hold off on the exhaust until the money pile magically grows emoticon

i'm not trying to start the great debate again so we can agree to disagree here and leave the debate to the other post.

On a side note I had a massive impulse buy yesterday off the broome buy and sell facebook page that could have been a GIZ but instead it was a baby waeco cf 25. Its 12 months old and the guy was asking $600. I asked if he was negotiable which he said yes so i offered him $300. He declined but i did tell him they were $600 new. he came back at $450 and i didn't reply. A week later he said if i wanted it for $300 i could have it.

Now on long trips away i have a freezer as my 60L fridge can only be a fridge OR a freezer. It will also come in handy for afternoon beers at the beach when I only need a small unit.

Hey Max, I think next time we head to the GP at Phillip Island, we have to use your exy as the support vehicle, as you now seem to have all the goodies in it LOL emoticon

That's a bargain for sure. Well done.

Re: Max's T30

It may take awhile to drive it from Broome. At least when we use my mates car 'Truck Borris' we get a free fuel card :-)
But when I move back to the east coast it may be an option except I won't be able to drive it, maybe I will bring the MRS........or then again maybe not (boys trip emoticon )

Re: Max's T30

Ian,

Keep an eye on the 4wd super center website. THey have been offering mad deals. The best i saw was ckx 60L with a roo systems rooftop tent for $1200. The other day they had winches and fridges in a sale. It changes all the time. Just keep an eye on it. They only have waeco on there though
