Re: Max's T30

Here are some photo's.

These photo's were taken in the carpark at work. I did stop in a dark street on the way home and have a look. They light up the whole road.

Had a recent situation when I was driving home off cable beach through the sand dunes and I had to reverse. I couldn't see anything with the standard lights but now I won't have that trouble. Very happy emoticon

Took 10 mins to change both globes emoticon

Re: Max's T30

So the boss and I did a trip down to 80 mile beach in WA and for the trip we bought an Iron Man roof awning. Its 2m wide and pulls out [sign in to see URL]. Got a rola t bolt kit (thanks for the info Jalal) to mount it. The awning came with an in built LED light strip. $395 well spent!

Re: Max's T30

Purchased a 4x4 equip tyre deflator yesterday. Has an adjustment from 18 to 28 PSI. Just by turning the end. Has markings on it so you know what PSI you are adjusting to and its spot on when compared with my tyre gauge. Only $139.

Re: Max's T30

Finally had some time today to install my HID kit.

Firstly remove both headlights and first section of air intake pipe.

--Log in or sign up to see linked image content--

Decide where to mount the control and ballast unit on the passenger side. There are some factory threaded holes on the side of the engine bay. I had some bolts that fit these holes and mounted both the control and ballast unit using these. They are hidden when you reinstall the air intake pipe.

Then you need to run the wires across to the drivers side of the car and find a place to mount the ballast. I used one of the mounting points for the drivers side fuse box.

Cable tie all the wires to make it look tidy.

Install the new globes in the headlights and put the headlights back in the car. Install the air intake pipe then wait until night time to see how good your new HID lights look.

Took me around 2 hours but it was trial and error to find the best place to mount the ballast and control units. You also need to attach the HID harness to the battery terminals on the passenger side and find a good earth point on the drivers side.

I wanted my drivers side wires to run behind the water washer bottle but they weren't long enough so they had to run in front. The connections are far enough away as to not wet when filling up but some caution is needed.

The finished product emoticon
