Re: Re:
It looks like a fun excursion but as dogs are denied entry to the Reserve area north of Teewah, my mate and I will be unable to attend.
According to the latest road report, the coffee rock is exposed at Teewah but it is safe and easy to drive around it within 90 minutes of low tide.
Keep up the good work Surfie

Re: Re:
It is always a good trip (weather permitting).
In the 90's I used to take the Subaru wagon with dogs and friends at 80 kph up the beach without bothering to drop tyre pressures. We survived the entrance and exit points... they were the only difficult bits.
Times have changed, my dogs are now forbidden and I now have to pay to access that which was once my right.
As I always travel with my dog and all dogs are now forbidden (even in transit within the vehicle), I cannot go there any more.
If the weather is good, you will have an unforgettable time.
A long beach with perfect water.
The wreck used to be a good stop point. Oddly, the hull was full of discarded thongs and there was a mobile ice-cream Van lurking there.
Times may have changed but hopefully the enjoyment of discovery for those who have not been there before has not.
Mind you, the same applies if the weather is not good, it is still unforgettable.
Just getting home can be a challenge. if you miss-time the return \
