Re: UHF Antenna mounting - not installation
I have heard the windscreen mount ones tend to fly off at highway speed. Is it purely reception issues driving your not wanting the Z bracket or nudge bar mount? I have a Z bracket on mine and it works really well. I get really good reception.

Re: UHF Antenna mounting - not installation
I wrapped my Z bracket in tape to stop rubbing metal on metal.

Re:
Problem with mounting on a glass surface is that the reception will be rubbish, if it works at all.
The ariel mount needs to be ground to a metal surface to work properly, ie roof rack, bull bar or body (Z bracket).
