Going to leave the van there and just do the drive out to Cameron Corner on the 2nd May then return to Timbooburra for the overnight stay then back to Broken Hill on the 3rd May. Like everyone else here and on the My Swag forum, we're keeping an eye on all things weather. We are still looking at it, maybe late April early May.  Johnnondisclosed_email@example.com (Johngqld)Sun, 16 Dec 2012 20:07:22 +0000 Re: Has anyone been to Cameron's Corner, advice please.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069361,from=rss#post2069361https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069361,from=rss#post2069361Just saw Camerons Corner on chan 7 Drive thru Australia, I had forgotten about the golf course with 3 holes in each state.nondisclosed_email@example.com (BarneyB)Sun, 16 Dec 2012 17:07:35 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069280,from=rss#post2069280https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069280,from=rss#post2069280Ill txt you when I'm in syd over Xmas week. No need for desert park pass. Only necessary for Dalhousie, which is about $12 for a 24 hour pass. Finke and maryvale station don't need one I'm hoping to 'find' the maps online to use with androzic (although will probably pay the $20 and get oziexplorer)nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Thu, 13 Dec 2012 07:14:43 +0000 Re: Has anyone been to Cameron's Corner, advice please.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069270,from=rss#post2069270https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069270,from=rss#post2069270Sounds good to me Michael. Looks like a good trip for you there for sure. You will need to get some good maps to show the tracks from Dalhousie Springs to Finke. Otherwise a HEMA Navigator will do the job (cost you about $600-700 though). You will also need a permit to access the Aboriginal Land up there which I think you can buy from the General Store. You will also need a Desert Parks Pass.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Toddyh03)Thu, 13 Dec 2012 07:09:04 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069262,from=rss#post2069262https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069262,from=rss#post2069262Also, if its cool - we'll tag along with you through NSW to Lake Eyre, but split from there... This is our current plan: http://tinyurl.com/bkhtafn Problem is, google doesn't recognise the track from Dalhousie Springs to Finke/Lambert's Centre of Australia/Maryvale Station which is a bit of a shame nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Wed, 12 Dec 2012 21:54:23 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069261,from=rss#post2069261https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069261,from=rss#post2069261Yeah.. i watched the Pat Callinan episode of the Oodnadatta on the bus to work today. The other option is to turn left after WC and go to Halligans Bay on Lake Eyre.nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Tue, 11 Dec 2012 23:09:31 +0000 Re: Has anyone been to Cameron's Corner, advice please.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069229,from=rss#post2069229https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069229,from=rss#post2069229Had a look at my maps. Hopefully Pedders will come through. I'd say that list is THE MINIMUM... being only 4 months in to the game, I haven't got the setup you've got yet. Not bothering about the dual battery, as Rob in the BT-50 has one, and a Waeco Fridge/Freezer. I'll just carry an ice chest. I'm 99% sure Rob and I will be joining you at Warren Weir on the 1st night, but we'll probably head west from South Lake Eyre. My boss is giving Tara his car for the 3 weeks, so she's cool with that. I noticed on the map you've got a night after Innamincka, closer towards the south eastern corner of the lake... is that the Muloorina Homestead? Its possible that we may see each other again at Alice, as we're looking at doing the Old Ghan Line from Oodnadatta to Alice, which I'm budgetting 2-3 days (through Dalhousie, Mt Dare, Finke, and up to Chamber's Pillar). But we're going to do a super quick trip back to Canberra in 3 nights straight (Coober Pedy, Port Augusta, Mildura, home)nondisclosed_email@example.com (konazz)Tue, 11 Dec 2012 07:09:15 +0000 Re: Has anyone been to Cameron's Corner, advice please.https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069174,from=rss#post2069174https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2069174,from=rss#post2069174That's an impressive list Michael.
