Re:

Just booked it in for Monday.
NMG only just found out about it, no idea what needed to be done or how long it will take.
I'll report back once fixed.

Does that mean it effects 200,403 vehicles? That seems a massive number.

Mine is within that range, so I guess I'll have to keep an eye on it. Don't really fancy giving my car back to Nissan at this stage.

Todd,

Nissan will announce it formally tomorrow and all affected owners will be sent a letter asking them to bring their car in.

When it happened to you how much clearance was between the turbo and the insulator?

Sorry, not sure. Took it back to Nissan who sorted it out.

Hi Guys,

Nissan announced this recall this morning and it has been posted on the Recalls website ]HERE. (not all cars in the specified VIN range are affected, so wait for your letter from Nissan or call your local dealership to check.

Re:

What a balls up that was!
Took the car in Monday.
Oh not sure we have the parts for this. We will chack with spare parts at 8:00am. Dropped it off at 7:40.
Sorry we don't have the parts.
Nissan want us to check the VIN then order the parts.
I'll call when we get them to book in for the recal fix.
So home I went.
At least I got a free coffee and WiFi for a while.

Re: T31 Engine Bay Insulator R1219 2.0litre diesel engine

I told them it was definitely warped so they had better get them in. I had a proper look and the bloody thing was actually resting on the turbo in one section. Had to push it off and tuck it away to keep it from contacting.
