Upgraded the head unit to Alpine IVE-W535ABT for those long drives. Got a reversing camera to be installed this week when it arrives and no I didn't install the head unit. Going to be the same with the camera emoticon

Re:

Brake pads and brake rotors upgraded to Bendix 4x4 pads and DBA 4x4 rotors.

Next job: upgrading shocks.

Almost done with the major mods. Getting a work light pole for the wheel carrier for a work light after ANZAC long weekend and maybe a second reverse camera. Will post pictures of the first reverse camera tomorrow.

Re:

Not a lot of choices for the reversing camera. So on the top of the licence plate has to be it. Major blind spot behind the wheel carrier hence the need for a second camera will be stuck on the light pole I think as there is absolutely no where else to put it.

Overnight camping this weekend for my 4wd club's annual damper bake off. On the way to the camp site, there were a few puddles. I decided to get dirty.

Re:

Currently it's just a 12V plug at the end to be connected to my ArkPak or 12V socket when I need to use it.

The plan is have 2 switches. One to wire the light to the reverse lights with a switch at the front of the car like the spotties to turn on and off if required when reversing when the engine is on and have the second that uses a 12V plug connected to the ArkPak at the back of the car when the engine is switched off without draining the car's battery, if this makes sense. I'm gonna get a sparkie friend to help with the wiring. The wiring is way out of my depth as I have no idea how to sort it out.

Or keep it simple and use an extension cable running from the back to the front and plugging into the 12V socket when needed.
