A Simple yet very capable vehicle. Learnt heaps about 4wding and the mechanics of owning a modern diesel. I had lots of fun and will not forget the adventures any time soon. I would have kept Bossy if I could afford it but the price is right for an upgrade and couldn't resist. Farewell by little Bossy and thanks!nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Tue, 09 Dec 2014 23:18:38 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084982,from=rss#post2084982https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084982,from=rss#post2084982Hi Gail, Cheers. The only possible at the moment for the reverse camera is on the licence plate. There's a picture here. You'll also need a somehow to include a licence plate somewhere. Where I put the licence plate light was always meant to be temporary but haven't had time to sort it out properly. If you can fabricate a plate on the wheel carrier you can put the licence plate and light and that a better location for the reverse camera. Just need to keep an eye on the amount of space for nuts when securing the tyre on the wheel carrier because the rods are short. The location of the reverse camera is an advantage for me especially in angled parking. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Sat, 06 Sep 2014 22:05:05 +0000 Reversing camera positionhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084978,from=rss#post2084978https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084978,from=rss#post2084978Hi Reggie, Before you go, where did you position your camera given your rear wheel carrier? and best wishes. Transferring the 900XS lights, CB, antenna and awning to the Ranger. Bash plates just about sold. Will try to sell privately but will trade in when time comes and Bossy is not sold.nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Tue, 26 Aug 2014 18:32:30 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084779,from=rss#post2084779https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2084779,from=rss#post2084779Rough price on Bossy, mate? So unfortunately, Bossy needs to be sold or traded in. Some parts and accessories are for sale in the for sale section.nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Thu, 14 Aug 2014 20:14:39 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083802,from=rss#post2083802https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083802,from=rss#post2083802IPF 900XS. It would make a good work light. Wiring it to the reverse lights sounds complicated. I invested in some cree white LED reverse globes and they are super bright. But I have been thinking about a rear work light.nondisclosed_email@example.com (maxgmoore)Thu, 15 May 2014 10:28:21 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083063,from=rss#post2083063https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083063,from=rss#post2083063Currently it's just a 12V plug at the end to be connected to my ArkPak or 12V socket when I need to use it. The plan is have 2 switches. One to wire the light to the reverse lights with a switch at the front of the car like the spotties to turn on and off if required when reversing when the engine is on and have the second that uses a 12V plug connected to the ArkPak at the back of the car when the engine is switched off without draining the car's battery, if this makes sense. I'm gonna get a sparkie friend to help with the wiring. The wiring is way out of my depth as I have no idea how to sort it out. Or keep it simple and use an extension cable running from the back to the front and plugging into the 12V socket when needed.nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Wed, 14 May 2014 22:45:38 +0000 Re: Reggie's "Bossy" Exyhttps://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083059,from=rss#post2083059https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083059,from=rss#post2083059looks good, where did you run the power from?nondisclosed_email@example.com (maxgmoore)Wed, 14 May 2014 22:00:27 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083057,from=rss#post2083057https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2083057,from=rss#post2083057Work light pole and light installed. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Wed, 14 May 2014 18:51:10 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082994,from=rss#post2082994https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082994,from=rss#post2082994Overnight camping this weekend for my 4wd club's annual damper bake off. So on the top of the licence plate has to be it. Major blind spot behind the wheel carrier hence the need for a second camera will be stuck on the light pole I think as there is absolutely no where else to put it. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Thu, 17 Apr 2014 23:49:06 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082531,from=rss#post2082531https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2082531,from=rss#post2082531Brake pads and brake rotors upgraded to Bendix 4x4 pads and DBA 4x4 rotors. The idea is to move the storage system from the boot to the back seats and instead of taking the plastic floor, that comes with the exy, apart to access the spare wheel well, just a simple lift of the floor will do. Comes in real handy especially in muddy conditions. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Tue, 26 Nov 2013 21:25:34 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078378,from=rss#post2078378https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078378,from=rss#post2078378It wasn't a problem at all. Other than that, no vibrations because the platform itself is sitting on the rubber strips of the rails. nondisclosed_email@example.com (nananut)Tue, 08 Oct 2013 14:07:15 +0000 Re:https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078059,from=rss#post2078059https://baustralianxtrail.runboard.com/p2078059,from=rss#post2078059Let me know if you get any vibrations on the platform when > 80km/h.
